SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a powder container for storing a developer which is a powder used in an image forming apparatus such as a printer, a fax machine, a copier or a multifunction peripheral device with a plurality of printer, fax and copier functions, to a nozzle insertion member fastened to the powder container, and to an image forming apparatus including a powder container. Claimed group of inventions includes a nozzle receiver disposed in a powder container used in an image forming apparatus, a powder container comprising a nozzle receiver and an image forming apparatus comprising a powder container. Nozzle receiver disposed in the powder container used in the image forming apparatus comprises a nozzle receiving hole into which a transport nozzle is inserted to transport the powder supplied from the powder container, in an image forming apparatus, an opening and closing element for opening and closing a nozzle receiving hole and a support for supporting the opening and closing member, the opening and closing member includes a sealing portion for sealing the nozzle insertion hole, the support includes a portion of the end surface perpendicular to the direction of movement of the opening and closing member, and the projection area of the end surface portion in the direction of movement of the opening and closing member is smaller than the projection area of the sealing portion in the direction of movement of the opening and closing member.

EFFECT: technical result is to prevent the toner from compressing and adhering, as well as to allow the opening and closing member to move to the closing position, for example, when the toner container is detached from the powder reservoir.
