FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in restoring the rollers of continuous casting machines (CCMs). Electric arc surfacing in a shielding gas or foam or flux is conducted along a helical line with transverse oscillations and superimposed ultrasonic oscillations at a frequency of not less than 15 kHz perpendicular to its axis. After heat treatment, the welded surface is machined using friction geomodifiers. As geomodifiers of friction, lubricated powders are used, including serpentinites and/or schungites. Arc is acted upon by a pulsed high-frequency magnetic field with a frequency that is the same as the natural frequency of the electrode material. Surfacing can be performed in a back-step manner. When cooling the roller during thermal processing, ultrasonic action is used. Heating is preliminary and / or concurrent. Associated heating is started from the side opposite to the surfacing, and the source of concomitant heating is moved in the direction of surfacing.
EFFECT: use of the invention prevents the distortion of the dimensions and shape of the surfaced part, the appearance of cracks in the surfacing, reduces the size of the machining allowances.
