SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, in particular to resuscitation science and intensive care. Endotracheal tube with two cuffs is used. This takes into account the segmental nature of the blood supply of the trachea and uses the cuffs of the endotracheal tube, which have a shape, allowing to apply pressure only on a part of each segment of the trachea in the zone of the cuff location and which are swelled in turn. Endotracheal tube having two cuffs is used, which are located parallel to each other and at an acute angle to the longitudinal axis of the tube. Or two cuffs that are directed in the form of an angle beam from the endotracheal tube wall, one cuff up, and the other down. Or apply a cuff, divided into four sections: two upper and two lower, which are inflated in pairs at different levels, one upper and the second lower on the other, forming full cuffs.

EFFECT: method allows to minimize the negative effect of the endotracheal tube cuff pressure on the state of the tracheal mucosa, due to reduction of the circulatory exclusion zone in the segment of the mucous membrane of the trachea when the cuff is inflated.
