METHOD OF DIFFERENTIAL DIAGNOSTICS OF CAPSULE BLOCK SYNDROME AND NON-ADHERENCE OF POSTERIOR CAPSULE OPACITY IN LATE POST-OPERATIVE PERIOD Russian patent published in 2018 - IPC A61B8/10 A61B8/13

Abstract RU 2668704 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of medicine, namely, to ophthalmology, and can be used for differential diagnosis of the capsular block syndrome and the non-application of the posterior capsule opacity (hereinafter PCO) in the late postoperative period. Optical coherence tomography (OCT) of the "IOL-capsular bag" complex is conducted through the center of the optical part in two mutually perpendicular planes to obtain images in the Cornea Cross-Line mode. Evaluate visually on the images of the PCO contour, the degree of adhesion of the PCO to the posterior surface of the intraocular lens (hereinafter IOL). If PCO does not belong to the posterior surface of the IOL and has an even arch-shaped contour in two mutually perpendicular sections, the syndrome of the capsule block is diagnosed. If the PCO is not attached to the posterior surface of the IOL and has an uneven wave-like contour, at least in one of the mutually perpendicular sections, then the non-adherence of the PCO is diagnosed.

EFFECT: method ensures the accuracy, reliability and objectivity of the method for diagnosing the capsular block syndrome and the non-adherence of PCO for selecting an adequate tactic of patient management by visualizing all the structures of the capsular bag and the IOL in the pupil area, determining the configuration of the PCO and its interaction with the posterior surface of the IOL in all sections.
