FIELD: motor industry.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions refers to embodiments of a vehicle instrument panel. Panel has reinforcement, which includes a plurality of chopped carbon fibers enclosed in a nylon resin, a substrate connected to the reinforcement, containing a plurality of chopped carbon and chopped glass fibers encased in a nylon resin, and a steering column bracket formed of a base comprising a plurality of chopped carbon fibers encased in the nylon resin. Steering column bracket engages with the steering column, so that the base and the bracket support the steering column. Variety of chopped carbon and glass fibers in the substrate can be divided, from the condition that the carbon fibers and glass fibers are each substantially concentrated within the respective parts of the driver's side and the passenger side of the base.
EFFECT: reduced weight and maintained mechanical properties are provided.
