FIELD: transportation.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to composite structures of vehicle dashboard. Vehicle instrument panel comprises base, reinforcing element, reinforcing element edge and base edge. Base comprises first plurality of chopped carbon fibres and first plurality of chopped glass fibres in first polyamide resin. First plurality of chopped carbon fibres and the first plurality of glass fibres in the base are separated such that each of the carbon fibres and glass fibres is substantially concentrated in the respective portions of the base on the side of the driver and on the side of the passenger. Reinforcing element is connected to the base and contains the second set of chopped carbon fibres in the second polyamide resin. Rib of the reinforcing element is formed as an integral part of the reinforcing element, is essentially hollow and is located on the section of the reinforcing element on the side of the driver. Base rib is formed as an integral part by the base, is essentially hollow and is located on the base section on the driver side. Base rib and reinforcing element rib are attached to each other.
EFFECT: easier design while improving mechanical strength of instrument panel.
