FIELD: means of communication.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to communication systems. Base station is configured to function as part of dual connectivity configuration and comprises: means for obtaining an aggregated maximum bit rate specific to a user communication device and information regarding the data transmission rate, required for the user communication device via an additional base station; means for generating information identifying a bit rate, specific to the additional base station, for use in the implementation of an aggregated maximum data throughput for the user communication device via the additional base station; means for providing information to the additional base station identifying a bit rate, wherein the information regarding the data transmission rate required for the user communication device via said additional base station, comprises at least one of: information regarding to the data transmission rate coming to the additional base station for the user communication device, indication of the data loss associated with the user communication device in the additional base station, and information identifying the buffer status for the user communication device.

EFFECT: technical result is the provision of the data transmission rate required for the user communication device in the case of a dual connection capability.
