FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a process for the preparation of a catalyst for the isomerization of paraffins based on bayerite, which is obtained by precipitation from a solution of sodium aluminate and nitric acid. Isomerization catalyst consists of platinum and chlorine deposited on the surface obtained from bayerite by calcination of this-alumina. Proposed method for the preparation of a paraffin isomerization catalyst based on baerite alumina, consisting of platinum and chlorine deposited on the surface of this alumina, are prepared by precipitation from solutions of sodium aluminate with neutralizing solution at high pH 10.4–10.8, aging of the precipitate for 2–2.5 hours, washing of the precipitate from impurities of alkali metal sodium, drying at 100–150 °C, calcinating at a temperature of 500–550 °C, depositing platinum and chlorine and re-calcinating. After the aging of the precipitate, acidification of the pulp is carried out to a pH value of 9.1–9.2, the point of zero charge of bayerite. Nitric acid, carbonates, sodium bicarbonates are used for the neutralizing solution. Resulting aluminum hydroxide contains at least 75 % bayerite (concomitant phases are pseudoboehmite and amorphous hydroxide) and does not contain significant amounts of alkali metal impurities (not more than 0.025 % of Na2O).
EFFECT: catalyst based on the resulting aluminum hydroxide is suitable for use as a component of refinery catalysts, in particular for the isomerization of n-paraffins.
