SUBSTANCE: braking control device for automatically controlling the service brake and the parking brake of the vehicle is provided. Device comprises slip prediction unit (110) that predicts the likelihood of the vehicle in question slipping, and brake device switching unit (120) that switches from service brake (31) to parking brake (33), when the vehicle in question is in the state of holding the vehicle stationary with service brake (31). Brake device switching unit (120) delays the time from which the brake force of service brake (31) begins to decrease, if the slip prediction unit (110) predicts slip when switching from service brake (31) to parking brake (33). Method for controlling braking is also proposed.

EFFECT: higher safety is achieved.
