FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a process for the preparation of pentafluorophenol or polyfluorophenols (4-hydrotetrafluorophenol), which can be used for the preparation of medicaments, fluorinated monomers, reagents for peptide synthesis (amino acids, peptides, nucleosides), as a component of metallocene catalyst systems for the polymerization of olefins. Method consists in the catalytic decomposition of pentafluoro- or polyfluorophenylalkyl ethers, while the granular alumina preliminarily promoted by the fluorine-containing compounds is used as the decomposition catalyst.
EFFECT: proposed method makes it possible to simplify the synthesis technology, as well as to obtain the desired products in high yield and high purity.
