FIELD: manufacturing technology.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the manufacture of a profile in the semi-enclosed channel of a part. In the method, a part is moved relative to the wire electrode tool, passed through a hollow insert arranged in the channel that is made from a dielectric material, inside which, for the tension of the wire electrode tool, there is a rotational dielectric ring, having a fastening unit of its angular position, and, at the end of the insert from the side of the ring, there is a longitudinal groove with a width that is not less than the width of the ring and a depth that is sufficient to arrange the ring in its perpendicular position relative to the axis of the wire electrode tool. At first, the wire electrode tool is removed from the insert through the pivoting ring when it is the state of its least opening, then, the insert is inserted into the hole of the channel to a depth that is not less than the length of the profile being produced, the ring is rotated until the electrode tool touches the walls of the channel, after that the ring is fixed, the working medium is fed through the insert while increasing the feed pressure until the stable electric erosion machining can be achieved, and the part is moved in the direction that provides the desired profile in the channel. Proposed is a device for the method implementation.

EFFECT: invention is aimed at increasing the accuracy of manufacturing profiles in semi-closed channels, reducing the laboriousness of tool manufacture and the manufacture of profiles.
