SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely, to ophthalmology, and can be used to measure the angle of strabismus. Get a picture of the mowing eye when shooting the camera in full-face and lighting with a point source of light located behind the camera. Measure the distance in the picture x between the center of the pupil and the glare from the light source, and also – the distance a between vertical lines passing through the outer and inner corners of the mowing eye. Additionally, a snapshot is taken in the profile when the mowing eye is guided away from the camera. Measure the distance in the picture b between a vertical line passing through the edge of the sclera, and a vertical line passing through the outer corner of the eye. Determine the radius of curvature of the sclera r according to the formula r=(b2+a2)/(2⋅a) and calculate the angle of strabismus α to the formula α=arcsin(x/r).

EFFECT: method provides an increase in the accuracy of measuring the angle of strabismus due to a more accurate determination of the radius of curvature of the sclera.
