SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to plastic surgery, and can be used for examination of patients, which are planned to undergo surgical rejuvenation of face, as well as for evaluation of operation results. Disclosed is a method in which a patient is photographed from different angles using a digital SLR camera, a lens with a fixed focal distance of 50 mm with uniform upper illumination with a colour temperature of 3500-4500 K. Patient is placed in front of the camera with possibility of rotation so that his/her face is positioned according to the Frankfurt horizontal plane. Obtained photographs are used to perform anthropometric measurements, which enable to select the correct type of aesthetic surgical intervention. Preoperative and postoperative photographing is carried out in the same conditions and with the same parameters.

EFFECT: invention provides improved image quality when photographing a face during aesthetic operations, which enables a more detailed assessment of the appearance of the face during planning, and also increases the accuracy of evaluating the results of the operation when comparing images.
