SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of medicine, namely, to ophthalmology, and is intended for the treatment of a disease accompanied by edema of the macula due to increased expression of VEGF-A. Polypeptide contains ranibizumab supplemented with F(ab')-fragment and contains on the heavy chain a hinje-site with cysteine residues to form disulfide bonds. Said polypeptide is introduced into a vitreous body. Further, the polypeptide may comprise polypeptide sequences selected from the CH3 domain of the antibody, unstructured polypeptides, including HAP polypeptide sequences S(G4S)16 and S(G4S)20, or a combination thereof.

EFFECT: use of the invention makes it possible to enhance the ease of use of anti-VEGF-A therapy for edema of the macula.
