POLYMERIC MATERIAL OF MEDICAL PURPOSE FOR EMBOLIZATION Russian patent published in 2018 - IPC A61K31/79 C08F226/10 C08L39/06 A61L31/00

Abstract RU 2669801 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of medicine and discloses a medical and veterinary use material comprising an interpolymer polyelectrolyte complex of cationic polymer – polyalkylcarbonic acid (polyacrylic or polymethacrylic acid) with an anionic copolymer – N-vinylpyrrolidone and 2-methyl-5-vinylpyridine or 4-vinylpyridine or 2-vinylpyridine. Emboli from a material can be previously prepared in the form of spherical and non-spherical particles introduced into blood vessels in the form of a suspension, or directly inside blood vessels (in situ) by co-administration of the starting components. In addition, emboli may contain chemotherapeutic and radiopaque agents. Material is characterized by the ability to destruction as a result of the action of electrolytes and enzymatic systems of the human body and animals.

EFFECT: invention can be used as a means for embolizing blood vessels with a reversible nature of action.
