FIELD: heat exchange.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices for conducting heat exchange processes between two media through a wall and can be used in the oil refining industry. This invention consists in that the plate heat exchanger for hydrogenation plants for secondary oil processing includes a vertical cylindrical steel body with inlet and outlet connections of processing components, a plate pack installed in the body and containing a set of vertically mounted metal heat exchanger plates forming two counter-flow heat transfer loops and hoses connecting the body connections to the supply unit and with the heat transfer loops, wherein the plate pack has external thermal insulation.
EFFECT: increased efficiency of the heat exchanger due to the reduction of heat losses from heat-exchanging mixtures and increase of reliability due to reduction of the operating temperature of the body.
