SUBSTANCE: invention relates to air conditioners and, in particular, to a method for cleaning the indoor and outdoor air conditioner units. Method for cleaning the indoor and outdoor air conditioner units, characterized in that it comprises: control of the heat exchanger to be cleaned to enter the self-cleaning mode; regulation of the operating frequency of the air conditioner, the degree of opening of the throttling device and the speed of the corresponding fan of the heat exchanger to be cleaned, as well as maintaining the evaporation temperature of the heat exchanger to be cleaned in a predetermined range, so that the surface of the heat exchanger to be cleaned is frozen; maintaining the heat exchanger to be cleaned in the freezing state for a period of time; determination of the correspondence of the pressure difference between the high and low pressures of the air conditioner to a predetermined condition; execution in the case, when the pressure difference between the high and low pressures of the air conditioner corresponds to a predetermined condition, controlling the four-way valve to change direction, to perform a defrosting switch to the internal and external heat exchangers; and execution in case, when the pressure difference between the high and low pressures of the air conditioner does not correspond to the preset condition, adjusting the operating parameter of the air conditioner, so that the pressure difference between the high and low pressures of the air conditioner corresponds to a predetermined condition, and then performing the control of the four-way valve to change direction, to perform a defrosting switch to the internal and external heat exchangers.

EFFECT: this method avoids the excessive difference between high and low pressures in the air conditioner during the self-cleaning switch of the internal and external heat exchanger of the air conditioner, which guarantees a stable and reliable operation of the air conditioner.
