FIELD: heat exchange.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to air conditioning technologies, in particular to a method for self-cleaning of an air conditioner heat exchanger. Method of self-cleaning of the air conditioner heat exchanger includes stages: air conditioner control to switch to self-cleaning mode; measuring the ambient temperature of the heat exchanger to be cleaned and determining, according to the measured ambient temperature, the target evaporation temperature of the heat exchanger to be cleaned; adjusting, in accordance with the target evaporation temperature and the actual evaporation temperature for the heat exchanger to be cleaned, the evaporation temperature for the heat exchanger to be cleaned and controlling the freezing of the heat exchanger to be cleaned; and after the surface of the heat exchanger to be cleaned is coated with a frost or ice layer, controlling the air conditioner for transition to the defrosting mode of the heat exchanger to be cleaned, wherein the target evaporation temperature T0 is determined using the following formula: T0=k*T-A or T0=T1, using smaller of them, in which: k is design coefficient, its value is equal to 0.7–1; A is value of temperature compensation 4–25 °C; T is ambient temperature of heat exchanger to be cleaned; -10 °C≤T1<0 °C.
EFFECT: this increases efficiency of cleaning.
