FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of macrolide chemistry, specifically to the previously unknown compound – avermectin B1 5-O-succinate ethyl ether of formula I, having anti-parasitic activity, as well as a method for its preparation, which comprises reacting avermectin B1 (III) with ethyl succinate acyl chloride in an organic solvent medium in the presence of an amine type catalyst. Organic solvent is preferably methylene chloride or chloroform. Amine type catalyst used is, for example, 2,6-lutidine or triethylamine. Invention also relates to an anti-parasitic agent based on a compound of formula I.
EFFECT: obtaining a novel compound – avermectin B1 5-O-succinate ethyl ether of formula I, which has high anti-parasitic activity, which enables use thereof to produce effective anti-parasitic agents compatible with excipients of ointments, which widens the range of anti-parasitic products that can be used for external use in the fight against parasites.
