FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of macrolide chemistry, namely to the previously unknown 4"-O,5-O-di(methylcarbamate)ivermectin compound of formula 1: , which possesses an antiparasitic activity, as well as the method of its preparation, consisting in that ivermectin is reacted with methyl isocyanate in the presence of a molybdenum catalyst in an inert solvent at a temperature of 15°C to 60°C, preferably at room temperature. As an organic solvent, methylene chloride or chloroform is preferably used, and as a molybdenum-containing catalyst, for example, MoO2Cl2(DMF)2 is used. The invention also relates to an antiparasitic agent based on a compound of formula 1.
EFFECT: production of the compound of formula 1, which has a high antiparasitic activity, allowing it to be used to create effective antiparasitic agents, which expands the range of antiparasitic agents that can be used to control parasites in both acidic and alkaline environments.
