SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the food industry. Provided is a composition for preparing a food product, a forage product or a pet food product, comprising maltose and steviol glycosides. Composition further comprises one or more nutritive sweeteners. Content of maltose in the composition is in the range of 2.25 to 52.5 w/w%, based on one or more nutritive sweeteners, and the weight ratio of maltose to steviol glycoside is from 30 to 480.
EFFECT: composition masks the typical off taste caused by steviol glycosides.
