FIELD: electrical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical engineering and power electronics and can be used to control sources of reactive power constructed on the basis of thyristor converters. Reactor group, switched by thyristors, consists of four branches, each of which comprises series-connected reactor and bilateral thyristor switch, wherein the branches are divided into pairs and one ends of the branches in each pair are interconnected and connected to opposite terminals of the power supply respectively, and the other ends of the branches of each pair are also interconnected and connected to the other opposite terminals of the power supply respectively through additional bilateral thyristor switches and an auxiliary bilateral thyristor switch is connected between these other ends of the branches of different pairs.

EFFECT: technical result, at which the proposed technical solution is aimed, is the reduced number of device elements by changing the topology of the construction of the reactor group and reduced installed capacity of the reactor equipment included therein.
