SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of electrical equipment and power electronics, and can be used for the built on the thyristor converters basis reactive power sources control. Capacitor group switched by thyristors, comprising current-limiting reactor and two parallel branches, each of which consists of in-series connected bidirectional thyristor switch, capacitor and additional bidirectional thyristor switch, at that, one of the outputs of the additional bidirectional thyristor keys of the parallel branches are the opposite outputs of the parallel branches, and between other outputs of additional bidirectional thyristor keys of parallel branches includes an auxiliary bidirectional thyristor switch, is realized such that in series with an auxiliary two-way thyristor switch a current-limiting reactor is connected, and parallel to serial connection of bidirectional thyristor switch and capacitor of each of parallel branches shunt two-way thyristor switch is connected, wherein parallel branches are connected to outputs of capacitor group, besides, in addition to serial connection of bidirectional thyristor key and capacitor of each of branches in parallel is connected any number of additional branches containing series-connected bidirectional thyristor switch and capacitor.

EFFECT: reduced installed capacity of current-limiting reactor, reduced weight and size parameters, increased efficiency.
