FIELD: electrical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of electrical equipment and power electronics, and can be used for the built on the thyristor converters basis reactive power sources control. Branch parallel to outputs of capacitor group is connected, consisting of two series-connected discharge bidirectional thyristor keys, and current-limiting reactor is connected between common connection point of discharge bidirectional thyristor keys and one of terminals of auxiliary thyristor key, note here that any number of additional branches connecting serial connection of bidirectional thyristor key and capacitor is connected in parallel to branches containing serial connection of bidirectional thyristor key and capacitor.

EFFECT: increased efficiency of the device due to absence of losses in the current-limiting choke in the steady-state operating mode of the device, as well as reduction of its weight and size parameters due to reduction of mass-dimensional parameters of the current-limiting reactor in comparison with the prototype.
