FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in the application of heat-resistant and wear-resistant layers to parts made of titanium or titanium alloys operating at elevated temperatures under abrasive wear. Electric arc facing is carried out by a non-consumable electrode in an environment of inert protective gases using a filler wire made of copper or copper alloys. Facing is carried out on the regimes ensuring the formation of a weld layer with a copper content of 5–40 %. This content of copper during surfacing provides the formation of a weld metal structure based on a supersaturated solution of copper in titanium and an intermetallic phase Ti2Cu, that contribute to an increase in wear resistance and heat resistance of the working surfaces of parts made of titanium and titanium alloys.
EFFECT: technical result of the invention is an increase in the operational properties of the deposited layers.
