FIELD: performing operations.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to reconditioning of worn-out surfaces of parts from white high-chromium cast iron by method of electric arc surfacing in medium of protective gas. Wear-resistant coating is obtained by successive surfacing in protective gases of two filler materials using filler wires based on iron and aluminium. Part is preheated in furnace to temperature of high annealing from 600 to 800 °C for 15 minutes. First coating layer is applied on heated part by method of manual arc welding in inert gases using non-consumable electrode and filler wire “Х23Ю5Т” until geometrical shape of worn-out surface is levelled. On uncooled first layer at surface temperature not lower than 600 °C, the second surface protective layer of AlSi 4043 filler wire is applied. Recovered part is placed in the furnace heated to 600 °C for slow cooling down together with the furnace to room temperature.

EFFECT: method provides high wear resistance of the reconditioned part from white cast iron with uneven wear of the surface.
