FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to metal forming and can be used to produce automotive body component from extruded aluminium alloy tube. Pipe has a closed profile and has a mark located on the wall along the pipe parallel to the seams. Automotive component is produced by hydroforming.
EFFECT: presence of the mark enables to determine the position of the seams for alignment of the pipe, which improves the quality of the manufactured component during production.
