FIELD: automatic control of lubricant pressure in aft seal of propeller at varying draft of ship. SUBSTANCE: system is provided with several sealing rings directed outward and one sealing ring directed inwards; formed between two sealing rings directed outward is circular chamber to which compressed air supply pipe line connected; this pipe line is fitted with pressure control member and is brought in communication with interior of ship by means of discharge passage opened and closed periodically by means of electromagnetic valve. Pressure in circular chamber is constantly maintained below pressure of outside water. Electronic device fitted on ship's hull is used for measuring the draft through sending the electric signals corresponding to definite draft; these signals control pressure regulating member. Lubricant system is provided with two pressure regulating members loaded by compressed air; these members are also controlled by signals of draft measuring device. Each pressure regulating member is connected to gas cushion of airtight closed reservoir loaded by lubricant where definite level is maintained. One reservoir is communicated with circular chamber between sealing rings directed inward and adjacent sealing rings; other reservoir is brought in communication with space containing lubricant.
