FIELD: image forming devices.

SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a powder container for storing a powder, such as a toner, and to an image forming device, that transports the powder from the powder container to the destination of transportation. Claimed group of inventions includes a powder container configured to be inserted into an image forming device and an image forming device. Besides the powder container is configured to be inserted into the image forming device, and the image forming device includes a blocking portion of the main body that is made with the possibility of rotation and projects to the side, located upstream in the insertion direction where the powder container is inserted, and the image forming device includes an identification protrusion, that protrudes toward the upstream side in the insertion direction to identify the type of powder container, wherein the powder container comprising: a container interlocking portion, made with the possibility of deadlock with the interlocking portion of the main body, and the interlocking section configured to be interlocked with the identification protrusion, wherein the interlocking portion is provided on the front end of the powder container, in the insertion direction, the interlocking section of the container projects outwardly from the outer circumferential surface of the powder container, and the interlocking section of the container and the deadlocked section rotate as a unit.

EFFECT: technical result is to provide an image forming device and a powder container made with the possibility of using differences in positions of the direction, different from the radial direction, as differences in the identifying fittings.
