Abstract RU 2670943 C9

FIELD: biochemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to biochemistry, in particular to an isolated antibody or antigen-binding fragment thereof that specifically bind to site II of a human IL-6, as well as to a composition for treating an IL-6-associated disease in a subject comprising the above antibody or an antigen-binding fragment thereof. Also disclosed is a method of treating a subject with an eye disease, characterised by an elevated level of IL-6 in the vitreous humor, comprising administering to the subject the above-mentioned antibody or antigen-binding fragment thereof. Invention also relates to a vector for expressing an antibody or an antigen-binding fragment thereof.

EFFECT: invention makes it possible to effectively treat a disease associated with IL-6 in a subject.
