FIELD: examination of documents.
SUBSTANCE: security feature for the authentication of a security document comprises an at least partially transparent substrate with a first surface and a second surface. First pattern is arranged on the first surface. Second pattern is arranged on the second surface. Both the first pattern and the second pattern contain a plurality of pixels with at least three different gray levels that are visible to the naked eye. First pattern and the second pattern cover gray levels ranging from 20 % black to 80 % black, in particular from 35 % black to 65 % black. First pattern is inverted with respect to the second pattern.
EFFECT: security feature for the authentication of the security document is proposed.
