SUBSTANCE: invention discloses a security element for a security document comprising: a first perforated layer made of a first material and forming at least one halftone bitmap pattern; a second semi-transparent layer made of a second material different from the first, wherein said second layer is visible through at least one opening of the first layer.
EFFECT: according to the invention, it is possible to obtain optical effects which are attractive to the viewer, which ensure high level of security and, in addition, difficult to reproduce.
