SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a sound-absorbing and insulating material having improved heat resistance and mouldability and a method for producing same, more specifically, to sound-absorbing and insulating material, having as a surface layer a heat-resistant material prepared by impregnating a nonwoven fabric with a binder, formed from heat-resistant fibre, laid on one side of a base layer, formed from a standard sound-absorbing and insulating material, and to a method of producing same. Sound-absorbing and insulating material according to the present invention is a standard sound-absorbing and insulating material, which has an enhanced sound-absorbing property, flame inhibition, heat insulating property and heat resistance, compared with standard sound-absorbing and insulating material, suitable for parts kept at high temperatures of 200 °C or higher, due to the surface layer, and moulded, with the formation of the desired shape during the curing of the binder, impregnating the surface layer.

EFFECT: sound-absorbing and insulating material according to the present invention can be widely used in industries requiring sound-absorbing and insulating materials, including electrical appliances such as air conditioners, refrigerators, washing machines, lawn mowers, and so forth, a vehicle such as a car, a ship, an airplane, and so forth, construction materials such as wall material, flooring material, and so forth.
