FIELD: motors and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to transport and power plant engineering, specifically to engine control systems for internal combustion engines (ICE). Proposed method of controlling an internal combustion engine consists in measuring the flow characteristics of electromagnetic injectors on an engine-free stand, depending on the width of the supply voltage pulse with the subsequent task in the program of the microcontroller to control the ICE of the average maximum fuel consumption Vst_sr with consumption characteristics at the maximum pulse width of the supply voltage and the point of the average minimum fuel consumption Vdin_sr from the discharge characteristics of the injectors, with the pulse width of the supply voltage realized at idle speed with the minimum load of the ICE. In the intermediate modes of operation of the ICE, the fuel consumption through each electromagnetic nozzle in the ICE is calculated along the line from the average minimum to average maximum fuel consumption depending on the air flow in the ICE.
EFFECT: invention allows to optimize the calibration and development work of the engine fuel management system and to improve the accuracy of fuel metering through electromagnetic nozzles.
