SUBSTANCE: inventions relate to the field of radar and can be used in radar stations (radar) to protect, inter alia, from impulse and response interference. In the method of compensating interference received from the side direction of the side lobes of the antenna pattern, based on the reception of radiation from the source of interference by two receiving channels – the main and additional, calculating the correlation between the interference signals in these channels and the subsequent compensation of interference using the auto-compensator, when the level of impulse noise is exceeded in the additional receiving channel, the level of impulse noise in the main receiving channel forms a gate, for the duration of which the autocompensator is activated. Radar station for implementing the claimed method for compensating interference contains a primary and secondary antenna, a primary and secondary receiving channels, an autocompensator, comparison circuit of the signals of the main and additional receiving channels, the autocompensator gating device, which are definitely connected to each other.

EFFECT: compensation of the impulse noise received from the side directions by the side lobes of the antenna pattern, and the elimination of the compensation of the reflected signal received by the main beam.
