SUBSTANCE: invention relates to radar and can be used in radar stations for protection from active, including pulsed, repeater jamming. In the method of suppressing active jamming, based on receiving radiation of a jamming station using two receiving channels - main and auxiliary, calculating the correlation between signals in said channels, wherein the auxiliary channel receives interference from the jamming station which is reradiated by a relay, the main channel receives interference from the jamming station from the scanned direction, signals in the main channel are delayed until maxim correlation is achieved and automatic interference suppression is carried out. Said result is achieved due to that the system includes a radar station which includes a main receiving channel, an auxiliary receiving channel and a self-compensator; the system also includes a relay which is located within the visibility range of the radar station, wherein the output of the relay is connected to the input of the auxiliary receiving channel; the radar station also includes storage devices for the main receiving channel and the auxiliary receiving channel, a delay setting device, a multichannel delay device, a multichannel correlator and a synchroniser. The listed devices are connected to each other in a certain manner.

EFFECT: compensating for interference received by the main beam of a beam pattern and preserving the signal from a target.
