FIELD: measurement technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of determining actual geometric characteristics of bent branches of underground steel pipelines and can be used in oil and gas production, oil and gas transportation industry, housing and utilities infrastructure and other industries associated with the operation of underground pipelines. To determine the of bent branches of underground pipelines, the pipeline section is released from the ground to upper pipe generatrix, boundaries of the bent branch are determined, at the top generatrix of the pipeline at straight ends of the bend, four pickets are marked, coordinates of the pickets are determined using the tacheometer, and bend angle is calculated. Coordinates can be determined using satellite navigation systems.
EFFECT: technical result is an increase in accuracy of measurements and reduction in time of work.
