FIELD: astronautics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to space technology and can be used in the creation of communication (telecommunication) spacecraft for non-contact non-destructive quality control of semiconductor photoconverters (PC) of solar cells (SC). Claimed method for testing arsenide gallium photoconverters in solar cells includes irradiation of a portion of the surface of the tested photoconverter with laser radiation with a wavelength of (0.40÷0.55) mcm, control of the photoelectroluminescent radiation arising in the non-irradiated portion to the photodetector and determination of the quality of the photoconverter by comparing the measured intensity of the photoelectroluminescent radiation of the photoconverter under test with the intensity of the photoelectroluminescent radiation of the reference photoconverter. Claimed device for testing arsenide gallium photoconverters in solar cells for the implementation of the above method includes a laser with a radiation wavelength of 0.40÷0.55 mcm, a photodetector mounted on the manipulator with the possibility of its vertical and horizontal reciprocal movement in two mutually perpendicular directions. Moreover, a digital camera is used as a photodetector, while activation/dactivation of the laser emitter, enabling of recording with a digital camera, selection of the coordinates of the photoconverter being tested are controlled using PC, for which an additional computer is introduced, connected with the laser emitter, the digital camera and the manipulator.
EFFECT: increase in the technological capabilities of testing arsenide-gallium photoconverters in the composition of solar cells during the manufacture of spacecraft.
