FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to medicine, specifically to gastroenterology, and can be used to prevent or reduce symptoms of lactose intolerance in an animal. For this purpose, a composition containing beta-casein is used, wherein the beta-casein contains at least 75 % by weight of beta-casein A2. Also, the use of milk and beta-casein A2 for the preparation of said composition is claimed.
EFFECT: group of inventions allows to reduce or prevent the symptoms of lactose intolerance resulting from the production of BKM-7 as a result of the consumption of beta-casein A1, due to the high % content of beta-casein A2 in the composition.
