SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of manufacturing of micro-reinforcing elements used in construction for disperse reinforcement of concretes and solutions. To produce rubberized steel fiber from used automobile tires, the waste tire is cut through a cutting blade to produce a reinforced tape. Tape is cut into strips by means of cutting discs installed at a distance equal to the required width of the fiber. Cutting discs installed at a distance equal to the required length of fiber are cut from the above strips by fiber.
EFFECT: invention is aimed at reducing the cost of fiber and improving environmental performance.
