FIELD: pharmaceuticals.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the pharmaceutical industry, namely to the use of the protein extract of Trichinella spiralis larvae as an antiproliferative and cytotoxic agent. Use of the protein extract of Trichinella spiralis larvae as an antiproliferative and cytotoxic agent for human mammary adenocarcinoma cells (MCF-7) and Raji lymphoma cells at concentrations of 2.0 and 2.2 mg/ml in an in vitro model, respectively, where the protein extract of Trichinella spiralis larvae is obtained by extraction from the homogenate of larvae of T. spiralis with phosphate-buffered saline followed by centrifuging the resulting suspension, removing the precipitate and purifying the supernatant from the low molecular weight compounds by dialysis, under certain conditions.
EFFECT: above-described extract has a pronounced antiproliferative and cytostatic effect for human mammary adenocarcinoma cells (MCF-7) and Raji lymphoma cells on in vitro models.
