Abstract RU 2671972 C1

FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for producing a complex [M(X)2(L1)m(L2)]. Method includes a step of reacting the complex [M(X)2(L)3] with a phosphorus ligand L1 and bidentate N,N-ligand L2 in a ketone solvent to obtain a complex [M(X)2(L1)m(L2)]. M is ruthenium or osmium. X is an anionic ligand. L is a tertiary phosphine ligand PR1R2R3, in which R1, R2 and R3 are independently selected from the group that make up unsubstituted C1-20-alkyl, substituted C1-20-alkyl unsubstituted C3-20-cycloalkyl, substituted C3-20-cycloalkyl, unsubstituted C1-20-alkoxy, substituted C1-20-alkoxy, unsubstituted C5-20-aryl, substituted C5-20-aryl, unsubstituted C1-20-heteroalkyl, substituted C1-20-heteroalkyl, unsubstituted C2-20-heterocycloalkyl, substituted C2-20-heterocycloalkyl, unsubstituted C4-20-heteroaryl and substituted C4-20-heteroaryl. L1 is a chiral or achiral monodentate phosphorus ligand different from L, or a chiral or achiral bidentate phosphorus ligand in which 3 carbon atoms are covalently bonded to a phosphorus atom or n heteroatoms and 3-n carbon atoms, where n = 1, 2 or 3; m is 1 or 2, and when m is 1, L1 is a bidentate phosphorus ligand, when m is 2, each L1 is a monodentate phosphorus ligand. L2 is a bidentate N,N-ligand, in which a nitrogen-containing heteroaryl group and an amino group are present. Ketone solvent is a liquid ketone having a boiling point at atmospheric pressure (that is 1.0135⋅105 Pa) of less than 160 °C. Heteroaryl is an aromatic carbocyclic group in which one or more carbon atoms is independently substituted with one or more heteroatoms. Also disclosed are methods for producing complex [M(X)2(L)2(L2)], complex [M(X)2L(L1)m] and complex cis-[M(X)2(L1)m(L2)].

EFFECT: invention provides improved methods for producing ruthenium complexes containing P- and N-donor ligands, which are more suitable for large-scale production of ruthenium complexes.
