SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of processing audio signals, in particular to the area of processing spatial audio signals. Device is associated with a spatial source of audio within a spatial audio script, the spatial audio source being at a certain distance from the listener within the spatial audio scenario, the device comprising an exciter configured to control the input audio signal to produce an audio output signal, and a controller configured to control the exciter parameters to control the input audio signal based on a predetermined distance.
EFFECT: increased efficiency of controlling the input audio signal within the spatial audio script.
