SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of selection of a patient interface device. Said device for calculating the interaction map comprises: a display generation unit for generating a display area in a user interface, wherein the display area is configured to display a 3-D model of the patient's face and a 3-D model of the patient interface device fitted to the 3-D model of the patient's face; and an interaction map unit for generating an interaction map tool in the user interface, and calculating an interaction map between the face of the patient and the patient interface device, indicating the levels of interaction characteristics between the face of the patient and the patient interface device, wherein, when the interaction map is displayed on the user interface, the interaction map unit is configured to make the components of the 3-D model of the patient interface device, which are not in contact with the 3-D model of the patient's face, transparent, and the components of the 3-D model of the patient interface device, which are in contact with the 3-D model of the patient's face, translucent.

EFFECT: technical result is an improvement of ways to select a suitable patient interface device for a patient.
