SUBSTANCE: use: for photovoltaic applications. Summary of the invention is that in a method for preparing a dispersion of 2D-nanocrystals of silicon in an organic solvent for photovoltaic applications, an organic solvent resistant to the action of active metals upon heating up to the boiling point of the solvent is introduced into tetrahalosensilane; alkylation reaction is carried out such that 3–15 % of the mole tetrahalogenosilane is converted to alkyltrigalysensilane; active metal is added to the resulting mixture, wherein the metal content is set by the stoichiometric ratio of the corresponding reduction reactions of a tetrahalosilane and alkyltrigalysensilane mixture to obtain a dispersion of silicon nanoparticles; perfluorophenyllithium is added to the resulting dispersion in an amount sufficient to completely replace the halide ions on the surface of the silicon nanoparticles to the perfluorophenyl ligands.
EFFECT: providing the possibility of creating flat particles with enlarged lateral dimensions that preserve a single crystal structure.
