SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of shipbuilding, namely, to high-speed semi-submersible vessels, or to high-speed submarines equipped with hybrid propulsion systems that directly affect water. Hybrid underwater propulsion unit for a semi-submersible vessel or submarine includes a streamlined longitudinal hull, symmetrically located underwater EH (electro-hydrostatic) engines in the form of horizontal wings-pylons, positive electrode-dischargers in the form of insulated rods with bare tips, and the negative electrodes-dischargers are made in the form of circular or polygonal plates, isolated from the outer streamlined shell of the underwater propulsion unit, and the power plant for creating impulse voltages between the electrodes-dischargers. Semi-submersible ship or submarine is equipped with intake devices, a jet propulsion system, a system of channels-pipelines connecting the intake devices with exhaust nozzles. Outlet nozzles are located on the wetted outer surface of the hull of a semi-submersible vessel or over the entire outer surface of a submarine, depending on the hydrodynamic resistance of the hull sections of a semi-submersible vessel or submarine in the form of a two-dimensional array. Flow of jet water jets from the exhaust nozzles from the power propulsion unit is directed along the outer surface of the hull of a semi-submersible vessel or submarine, or at an acute angle to the outer surface of the hull of a semi-submersible vessel or submarine in the direction opposite to the direction of movement of the device.
EFFECT: reduction in the hydrodynamic resistance of the hull of a high-speed semi-submersible vessel or submarine is achieved.
