FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to membrane gas separation and can be used to remove undesirable components of natural and process gas mixtures. Membrane contactor device for purifying natural and process gases from acidic components by absorption through a nanoporous membrane including a membrane module connected by inputs and outputs to the gas and liquid feed and discharge lines, comprising one or more horizontal contacting and connected in parallel contactor elements, with a gas-tightly mounted in each element a nanoporous membrane having an average pore diameter in the range of 5–500 nm and a pore size distribution of not more than 100 % installed in the module, with possibility of supplying a cleanable gas phase to the inside of the contactor element, ensuring the contact of the membrane with the gas phase on one side of the membrane and with absorbent liquid phase from the opposite side and the possibility of flowing over the membrane with an absorbent stream with the Reynolds number greater than 100, packing density of the membrane in the contactor element is not less than 20 % by volume; a pressure equalization tank connected to the membrane module by a gas and liquid line with possibility of contact between the liquid and gas phases, as well as controlling the pressure difference between the gas phase and liquid phase of the absorbent in the contactor element in a range not exceeding the membrane wetting pressure, on the one hand, and the pressure of a gas bubble into the liquid, on the other hand, to prevent the gas from entering absorbent liquid phase and absorbent liquid phase into the gas phase.
EFFECT: higher productivity of the membrane contactor while providing a high degree of gas purification and reducing its overall dimensions.
