SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a mattress structure. Mattress structure has a main axis and comprises a comfort layer, which includes two main comfort units, each of which corresponds to the thigh and the shoulder of the user of the mattress structure; and a plurality of auxiliary comfort units, at least one of which is located between said two main comfort units, wherein there is an additional auxiliary unit located outside the two main comfort units and not therebetween. Said two main comfort units provide a relatively greater pressure reduction than the auxiliary comfort units the mattress structure. Each of the two main comfort units has identical dimensions along the main axis for interchange of the two main comfort units in the mattress structure. At least one of the auxiliary comfort units has a dimension along the main axis, which differs from the dimensions along the main axis of the other auxiliary comfort units. Positions of each of the auxiliary comfort units are individually adjusted along the main axis relative to other auxiliary comfort units to vary the distance between the two main comfort units along the main axis such that the distance between the two main comfort units along the main axis is adjusted by the length of the unit to match the distance between the shoulder and thigh of the user of the mattress structure.
