FIELD: construction.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the production of wall building materials and can be used for the manufacture of facade tiles. Specified technical result is achieved by introducing into the ceramic mass, including clay, titanium dioxide and boric acid, in addition to lithium carbonate in the following ratio, wt. %: low plastic clay 80.0; titanium dioxide 10.0; lithium carbonate 5.0; boric acid 5.0. Samples of wall ceramics were obtained at a moisture content of a ceramic mass of 8 wt. %, pressing pressure of 15 MPa and firing temperature 1,000 °C. When firing, titanium dioxide interacts with silicon and lithium oxides in the presence of boric acid to form a vitreous phase containing lithium titanates and increases the strength of the material in the bulk of the product and on its surface, creating the effect of self-glazing.
EFFECT: increased compressive strength and frost resistance while maintaining other performance characteristics of products.
