FIELD: manufacturing technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a mixture for making thermally and chemically resistant ceramic articles. Charge for making thermally and chemically resistant ceramic articles contains 85.0–92.5 wt% of low-plastic clay, 2.5–5.0 wt% of galvanic sludge formed during reagent purification of waste water of a galvanic shop by calcium hydroxide and containing (wt.%): Zn(OH)2 11.3; Ni(OH)2 2.6; Cu(OH)2 2.4; Cr(OH)3 9.3; CaC3O 40.3; Ca(OH)2 16.5 and SiO2 7.0, minced to particle size of not more than 40 mcm, 2.5–5.0 wt% boric acid. Charge additionally contains 2.5–5.0 wt% of zirconium oxide.
EFFECT: high bending strength, ensuring heat resistance and alkali resistance of ceramic articles while maintaining acid resistance and environmental safety.
